Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops for Odoo Inventory/Warehouse/Manufacturing processes and translate requirements into standard Odoo configuration.
Design and configure end-to-end operational flows in Odoo (as applicable):
Inventory/Warehousing: multi-warehouse setup, locations, operation types, picking/packing/shipping flows, putaway & removal strategies, replenishment rules, routes, cross-docking, dropshipping (if in scope)
Barcode/WMS: barcode operations, mobile scanning flows, batch/cluster picking, packing validation, cycle counts
Traceability: lots/serial numbers, expiration dates, landed costs (if used), returns, and traceability reporting
Manufacturing (MRP): bills of materials, routings, work centers, work orders, backflushing/consumption rules, by-products/scrap handling
- Planning: reordering, lead times, safety stock, manufacturing scheduling concepts (work order planning) and capacity considerations
- Subcontracting (if applicable): subcontracting routes, supplied components, subcontractor operations
- Quality & Maintenance (if applicable): quality checks/alerts in operations, maintenance requests and preventive maintenance
Produce functional implementation deliverables for operations:
Fit-gap notes and solution recommendations using a standard-first approach
Configuration documentation and configuration log entries
UAT scenarios/scripts and evidence support
Quick guides/SOPs for warehouse and production users
Support operational data activities:
Master data templates (products, UoM, locations, routes, BOMs, work centers)
Trial imports, data validation, and reconciliation support
Conduct training for warehouse and production users; support UAT, go-live readiness, and hypercare triage.
Control scope and manage change by clearly identifying items that require Studio/Automations, community modules, or custom development (custom as last resort).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant (or ERP functional consultant) with hands-on delivery for Odoo Inventory/Warehouse and/or Manufacturing (MRP).
- Strong understanding of logistics and warehouse operations (receiving, putaway, picking, packing, shipping, replenishment) and how these map to Odoo.
- Practical experience configuring Odoo operational modules end-to-end (from setup to UAT/go-live) including inventory control and traceability.
- Ability to facilitate workshops with operations stakeholders (warehouse managers, production supervisors, supply chain leads) and convert needs into clean Odoo-standard processes.
- Strong documentation and communication skills (process mapping, UAT scripts, training delivery).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other ERP systems.
- Odoo certification(s) relevant to operations (Inventory/Manufacturing).
Experience with advanced Odoo operations apps/features:
Barcode, Lots/Serials, Expiration dates, Putaway/Removal strategies, Multi-step routes
Subcontracting, By-products/Scrap, Quality, Maintenance
Product variants and complex BOMs/routings
Experience integrating shipping carriers/3PL workflows or operational integrations related to warehouse/manufacturing (within Odoo context).
Background in supply chain, warehouse management, production planning, or manufacturing operations is a plus.
Experience supporting multi-warehouse / multi-company deployments in Odoo.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
