Something Somewhere Consulting is looking for an Odoo Functional Consultant / Business Analyst who can help clients understand their business needs, document processes, and translate requirements into practical Odoo solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys business analysis, process improvement, client communication, documentation, testing, and ERP implementation work.

You will support client workshops, process documentation, Odoo configuration, user testing, training, and go-live preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and understand client requirements
  • Document current and future business processes
  • Translate business needs into functional Odoo solutions
  • Support Odoo configuration, workflows, reports, and system setup
  • Assist in preparing project documentation and functional specifications
  • Support user training, UAT, and go-live preparation
  • Coordinate with clients, project leads, functional consultants, and technical consultants
  • Help identify process gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Support data migration preparation and validation
  • Communicate project updates, issues, and requirements clearly

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant, with strong hands-on exposure to configuring/customizing modules (including Odoo Studio) and deploying Odoo in real business settings. (3+ years preferred)
  • Solid technical skills: good understanding of Python, XML, JavaScript; experience with PostgreSQL; familiarity with Linux or related deployment environments.
  • Experience in ERP, Odoo, Business Analysis, or Consulting is an advantage
  • Knowledge of business processes such as Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, CRM, HR, or Project Management
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
  • Able to understand client requirements and translate them into functional solutions
  • Detail-oriented, client-focused, and willing to learn
  • Comfortable working with clients and internal project teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Odoo certification(s).
  • Prior experience in other ERP systems or in comparable end-to-end system implementations.
  • Experience with other ERP systems
  • Odoo Certification
  • Familiarity with Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, CRM, HR, Project, or Website modules
  • Experience with Odoo Studio, workflows, reports, or system configuration
  • Experience in process documentation, UAT, training, and data migration
  • Background in consulting, implementation, or client-facing project work
